So here's just a little survey to get your thoughts on e-marketing:

1.  What social media outlet do you think is most commonly used in marketing?

2.  How many different ways do you market your company/blogs/life?

3. What is your favorite outlet to get your name/business out

So here is another one of my favorite things about Photoshop; the clone stamp tool.  You use it when you want to get rid of something in a picture.  When you do it right, no one can even tell there was something there to begin with.  Let's see a couple of examples, shall we?
This one is pretty cool.  Even though I think the graffiti gives the picture character, the little girl blends in instead of being the center focus.  Using the cloning tool, you would just click on the part of the bricks you wanted to grab the color, and put it over the graffiti.  Easy. Peasy.

This picture I liked solely for the reason that I have never thought to do something like this and it's awesome.  So you can see what the person was doing was taking the little circle there on the right, going over to the left part of the picture they wanted, and recreating it on the right.  This is also an awesome tool to get rid of unwanted acne, braces, scars, etc.  Pretty cool if you ask me!  Photoshop has done it again!

Okay, so let's be honest.  I am totally in love with Photoshop.  I could spend hours and hours tweaking this photo and that photo and creating little artsy fartsy things.  One thing that is my favorite thing so far about Photoshop is what I actually learned in class today; the art of blending.
So what blending is, is taking two photos and making it so it looks like one complete photo.  Here are a couple of examples:

Okay so this?  You can TOTALLY do with Photoshop.  You have Miley and Liam, who look like they're floating in the sunset, and then the picture of her walking with her dad all blended together.  Pretty cool right?  Here's another one I liked:

This is another awesome blended movie poster.  Do you see how he is kind of just floating in the middle of the city?  That is what blending is.  So it's pretty much taking two pictures, setting one in the background and putting the other one on top.
When you google "movie posters" you see this EVERYWHERE.  So, whenever you see a movie poster that doesn't look like a real picture, I can almost guarantee it's Photoshopped.  And I love it.  Look out world, I've got another tool under my belt!

Every smart company today is using some type of social media.  One way, in my opinion, companies can either sink or swim is how their company website looks.  Why is this such a big deal?  If I go to a website and it looks like a teenager just threw it together, I am likely to not go back.  The website needs to look professional and fulfull what is known in the electronic marketing community as AIDA.  AIDA is:
Attention:  does it capture my attention when I first come to the homepage?
Interest: does it peak my interest about what the company does, sells, or offers?
Desire: Do I have a desire to learn more?
Action:  Do I feel like I have to take action right now?
With AIDA in mind, I decided to look at some wedding websites to see if they fulfill AIDA.  The one I will talk about here is Calluna Events located in Boulder, CO

Attention:  Does it grab my attention?  Yes, becausee the logo is very prominant, and the detailed pictures give a wider range of showing what their company does.  I also love how the pictures all pop with color instead of fade into the background color.  I also noticed I am more drawn to websites that have a background color other than white.
Interest: Does it peak my interest?  Yes.  Again, I love the detailed pictures.  I also like how each different link is a different color and the testimonial gives credibility.
Desire: Do I have a desire to learn more?  Yes because if I like their pictures on their home page, I am almost positive I'll love pictures in their gallery
Action: Do I feel like I have to take action right now?  This one is tricky because it is yes and no.  Yes in that I decided they are one of the event planning companies I would like to intern with in the future and no because I am not a bride so I do not need to take action right now.
Overall, was this website a "go" on fulfilling AIDA?  In my opinion, YES!
